Cadmium Plating

Cadmium plating is a type of electrochemical processing used to lay a metallic coat of silver-white like deposit over the standard material of an object by concentrating it in an electrically charged solution in order for the low voltage electric current to flow through it; this causes the metallic layer to be attracted to the object being plated. This greatly reduces any galvanic corrosion from occurring on materials or assemblies with dissimilar metals such as brass and steel. In addition, this provides for corrosion resistance in highly volatile environments. These substrates can also be plated as the following; steel, anti-corrosion steels, copper and a combination of copper-brass.

Copper Plating

Copper plating is a type of electrochemical processing used to lay a metallic coat of reddish like deposit over the standard material of an object by concentrating it in an electrically charged solution in order for the low voltage electric current to flow through it, this causes the metallic layer to be attracted to the object being plated. This process's main purpose is to be used for under plating electroless nickel. In addition, this type of preparation is used for preventing hardening during heat treatment.
